We are witnessing unprecedented assaults on our government and the systems that safeguard it. While we may feel powerless in the face of such drastic changes, our 200-year history may have prepared us for just such a moment. Likewise Queen Esther, whose story is celebrated in the Jewish festival of Purim, arose at just the right moment to save the Jewish people. As Purim   approaches, we will look at how her story is instructive for our congregation in this moment.
