Our Community Care Minister is Jane Ellen Nickell
Jane Ellen Nickell is an ordained United Methodist who served for16 years as Chaplain of Allegheny College, where she also taught in the Religious Studies Department. She holds a bachelors degree in English from West Virginia Wesleyan College, a Master of Divinity degree from Vanderbilt University, and a PhD in Sociology of Religion from Drew University. Her research on resistance to change in American Methodism is detailed in her book We Shall Not Be Moved: Methodists Debate Race, Gender, and Homosexuality. Our Music Director is Aimee Reash
Aimee holds a B.A. from Allegheny College and is an adjunct in the Allegheny Music Department. She currently teaches music enrichment for area gifted middle and high school students and has been a principal player in the Greenville Symphony Orchestra since 1989. Aimee is also the Director of the Band Camp for Adult Musicians held at Allegheny College. Contact: areash@allegheny.edu
Our Coordinator of Religious Education is Mark McGinty
Mark grew up in Meadville and went into the US Navy upon graduation. Desert Storm veteran serving as a Hospital Corpsman for ten years. He has seven beautiful children ranging from 32 to 2. April, Ashley, Amber, Joshua, Isla, Cora and Finn., and four grandchildren Violet, Zooey, James and Mia. He moved back to Meadville in 2019 and immediately began his passion as a Community Enthusiast!
He currently serves on the FCCA, MNC and Creating Landscapes boards. I am also the Director of the Summer Parks program. In his spare time, he coaches basketball. He is a proud member of the UU church, teaches the RE program, is a member of the events team, and is the Coordinator of Coup on Saturday.
Our Office Administrator is Jodi Sipos
Jodi holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Edinboro University, where she served as the Anthropology Mentor and Tutor. Originally from Florida, she has fallen in love with the area’s wildlife and natural beauty. She loves to canoe and hike with her family. The French Creek Clean-up is a project that is very dear to the Sipos family. Jodi and her husband owns J & J’s Naturals, which creates nature inspired gifts. Contact: church@uumeadville.org
