In times of uncertainty, the idea of home has become even more contested, as has the debate over whether we should keep our doors open to the winds of change, or shut them out of fear. This is an exploration, both personal and philosophical, of what it means to be rooted and unrooted, how strangers become families, and what it means to be at home in the world.
