Learning from the Lambs

I was walking the other day and had a chance to talk with some lambs.  They didn’t say much, but while I was waiting for them to answer I got to thinking about what we can learn from their purity, innocence, and skittishness.

Qigong

This service will be held in the Arthur Room of the Parish House.

It’s Not You, It’s Me

Join us as we discuss ethnocentrism in the modern world and reflect on what we can do to remain open and accepting. Enjoy the talent of special  musical guest Jordan Sipos.

Who Did You Listen to Today?

Too many of us define “listening” as the period during which we work out what we’re going to say next. If, like me, you’re someone who needs a small reminder that listening both attracts and heals, this sermon should speak to you.

On Authority

We reflect on the nature of authority, a term that shares its linguistic roots with author, and consider who we allow to be the author of our lives.

Earth Teach Me Stillness

Mother Earth can help bring us energy and calm.  In observance of Earth Day, we will have a shortened service in the Sanctuary, followed by a few mindfulness practices on the Square.

Finding your Place

“Place” can be interpreted broadly to mean other than location- a position on an issue, where you fit in the scheme of things, your involvement.

A Tune That Never Stops

“Hope is the thing with feathers that sings the tune without the words.” On Sunday we explore hope, a wordless hit tune from 1957, and a real beloved community.

What’s Next?

A service on the wisdom of not making decisions.
