At the beginning of this important year (maybe they are all important) I think that this is not a time to be strangers.  We will make introductions, we’ll renew friendships, we’ll talk about how important this community is to our lives and the larger community.  I do not want us to forget that offering a hand when we are in need ourselves is every bit as important as offering a hand in compassion and help.  It works both ways.
