SUNDAY SERVICE 10:30 AM
May 3rd
“Coming Unglued” – Josh Searle-White
We usually use the phrase “coming unglued” to mean that we are losing our grip on normality, sanity, or simply the equanimity with which we hope to meet the chaos of the world.  But maybe there are times when coming unglued is exactly what we need to meet the day.  We’ll explore this possibility in a special musical service.

ANNUAL MEETING
The Annual Meeting of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Meadville (UUCM) will be held on Sunday, May 03, 2026, immediately following the 10:30 service. At that time, members of the congregation will elect Board members and a new Trustee. The congregation will also be asked to approve the budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. Budget information can be found in the Treasurer’s report with additional discussion in the President’s report.

SUNDAY SIGN-UPS 2026

We will need Ushers and Pulpit Assistants through June 2026.  Please sign up for the dates that are the most convenient for you. You can sign up emailing Jodi or the sign-up sheet in the Parish House. Melissa Mansfield and Ed Pechin have agreed to coordinate efforts to ensure that there are a couple of willing folks to serve each Sunday as our ushers! If you have never ushered before, they are always willing to work with you, so it is not a daunting experience. So, to help with coordinating efforts, either sign up for a date or dates that you can help, or reach out to Ed or Melissa. Many hands make light work. Thanks in advance!!

SHARE-THE-PLATE

Every month, we share our offerings with a community group whose mission is consonant with ours. This month we have selected the Crawford County Mental Health Awareness Program (CHAPS). CHAPS is a non-profit, consumer-driven organization that was founded in 1988.  From day one, CHAPS has been committed to the mission of supporting consumers of mental health services, advocating for the improvement of local mental health services..

EMAIL AND TEXT SCAMS
There has been reports that emails have been sent from Rev. Jane Ellen asking for gift cards. This is a scam. We expect that there will be additional emails sent by “board members”. These are scams as well. Please do not respond to any text or emails from people saying they are from the Church asking for money or gift cards.
